This smaller scale building project, near Bracebridge on Lake Muskoka, called for the replacement of an existing dry-land boat storage shed. This new semi-dry-land boathouse and dock are perfect for winter storage and summer entertainment.
Although smaller in size, the shallow water and the ever-present danger of being shoved by the lake ice, meant a steel pile platform pinned to bedrock was the best choice for the foundation. The building is designed to pick-up on cues from the family cottage and as usual with a Fitzmaurice Brothers project, great attention has been made to internal and external finishing and detail. Fitzmaurice Bros. Carpentry is a proud member of the Muskoka Builders Association.
